BRINGING LOWER TEMPERATURES...STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND SNOW TO THE
MOUNTAINS OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA LATE FRIDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

4 AM PST SUNDAY ABOVE 4500 FEET...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN DIEGO HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WARNING ABOVE 4500 FEET FOR HEAVY SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT
FROM 4 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 4 AM PST SUNDAY. THE WINTER STORM
WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* ELEVATION: ABOVE 4500 FEET.

* SNOW LEVELS: INITIALLY...SNOW LEVELS WILL BE AROUND 5500 FEET
THIS AFTERNOON THEN LOWER TO AROUND 4000 FEET SATURDAY MORNING.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: UP TO 6 INCHES BELOW 5000 FEET...6 TO 12
INCHES FROM 5000 TO 6500 FEET...AND 12 TO 24 INCHES ABOVE 6500
FEET...EXCEPT ISOLATED MUCH LARGER AMOUNTS.

* TIMING: 4 PM PST TODAY UNTIL 4 AM PST SUNDAY.

* WINDS: SOUTHWEST TO WEST WINDS OF 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS NEAR
50 MPH.

* VISIBILITY: LOCALLY LESS THAN ONE-QUARTER MILE AT TIMES IN
SNOW...BLOWING SNOW AND FOG.

* IMPACTS: SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL IMPACT TRAVEL ON INTERSTATE
15 THROUGH THE CAJON PASS AS WELL AS ALL MOUNTAIN HIGHWAYS.
