I have some awesome pictures I took from various spots along the dirt section of 173 when we were visiting my wife's daughter, her husband and kids a few years back. They live near the populated end of Grass Valley road, which runs into 173 just up from the start of the dirt, or should I say "natural" section. I really don't know how to upload the pictures for you to see. What I could do is e-mail them to Wizard, and he could post them? Let me know. An interesting story: While I was standing outside the rental Chevy minivan, about half way down the mountain to the holding dam, just ready to press the button on my camera... I hear a loud Ka-lunk behind me. The minivan had just locked itself...!!! So, I'm thinking, either the keys are in my pocket, or they're not. It's several miles up the mountain, several miles down the mountain, the sun is setting...oh, well. So I just kept taking pictures, enjoying the breathtaking scenery. Turns out I did have the keys, but there were a few anxious moments.
