The Willow Fire spared some living native juniper in the Bowen Ranch vicinity. There is plenty of space to camp at the ranch too.The fee is about the same as the USFS or BLM charges so thats no big deal. The price of gas to get there is alot more! Last night I enjoyed the full moon at my place with some friends and we sat out by the campfire untill around 10pm.It was beautiful. My fire ring is in a sheltered spot thats clear of flamable debris. Since Bowen Ranch is private property, check with them and try to use a spot that already has an existing circle of stones used by someone else. Dont forget to bring a bundle or two of firewood just to be sure. I always do that when traveling around the west.I dont like to scrounge around for firewood in the dark after driving all day. Anyway, enjoy and dont forget to report back.
