Nick,
Bradford ridge trail head. Is where the forest ends and the desert begjns. It is a fine place to hammock camp too. Hwy. 173 is fun to 4 wheel on also. Take hwy. 138 off I 15 north of San Bernadino. Then go east then turn onto hwy. 173 and continue till the pavement ends. That goes for about 6 miles till pavement starts again. Go about 1/4 of a mile and park/camp there. It is 2.6 miles to the springs from there. And you do not have to have a forest adventue pass either.
Post a trip report here and let us know how it goes.
Good luck.
