Oh, I fergot to mention.
Bowen ranch Rd. is a mess people are having problems there The best option to get to the springs is the Bradford ridge path. Also the creek is to cold and to high for a safe crossing. Unless you are an Olympic swimmer used to 40 degree water. Or have a inflatable raft and strong arms and a paddle.
To get to the Bradford ridge path to Deep Creek do this:
From the 210 freeway take the Waterman road exit or the Mt. resort exit going north to Lake Arrowhead. Make the left turn toward Lake Arrowhead go @ 2 miles to the 5 way stop sign. Turn right on Highway 173 through all of the houses and past the Mountain Communities Hospital. About 2 miles past the Hospital is Willow Dr. and a "road closed" sign. Turn right and then turn left at the first road. This road goes @ 1/2 a mile to a stop sign. This is Hwy 173 again turn right then continue @ 3 miles and you will see the San Bernardino Forest ranger station on the right. Go @ 1 more mile and on the left is a rifle shooting range. Go @ 2 more miles and there is the Kinley creek bridge on a sharp left turn in the road. Park near there. On the north side of the road is a break in the fence for hikers. This is the Bradford ridge trail it is 2.6 miles to the springs and @ 2.4 miles to the creek. Turn right at Deep Creek and you will see the hot springs soon.
If you get to the dirt part of this Hwy.? you have gone too far. Turn around and look for the bridge @ 1/4 of a mile before the dirt.
You will do well to copy or print out these directions for later use.
Be safe and remember to take your trash with you.
