Let me say it right at the beginning, I am a good friend of Mike Castro and I have known him for just over 18 years. So now you have my motivations for this post. I have followed this site for quite some time and, in fact, I helped Mike get it removed from a couple other servers. He, and his lawyer, now feel that justice will be best served by keeping the site going. Knowledge is power. I have watched while you have maligned, disparaged and libeled Mike for your own maleficent reasons. Now, I feel, that it is time to make some statements and ask some questions. Where to start? How about the "Moss Mill Road"? Have you ever produced, for people to see, an easement over the land that is now owned by Kevin and Tanya? Did you know that there was once a house on that land and that "the road" was actually a driveway to that house? Did you know that when the original house burnt down it was rebuilt on what is now BLM land just to be nearer a water source? Have you ever told anyone that William Schwiess lived in the Moss Mill illegally in trespass and was eventually removed by force and fined in the courts for over $7000? Quite the business partner. Have you mentioned that you (Gail) and William are the two owners of DCHS Inc ? Will any of your "tax deductable donations" go to paying off William's fines? Have you asked Kevin and Tanya to open their land to the public for access? Why didn't you buy the land when it was for sale? That could have solved lots of your problems. Will Kevin and Tanya become enemies of the cause if they decide not to let the public across their land? Have you brought to anyone's attention that there is no easement across their land? Why not? Why isn't there? You were nice enough to post the lawsuit against Mike by Nancy Bates. Have you mentioned that the lawsuit was thrown out and that there is now a warrant out for the arrest for Nancy Bates in conjunction with that lawsuit? Lots of accusations, no proof. I'll bet that Nancy is sorry that she ever listened to you and William. You have posted the "El Mirage Dry Lake Incident". Do you have a police report that backs up any of the statements made by the, and I quote, "drunken rollover"? Anything? Were those police officers in Mike's back pocket too? And let's look at all of your "signed statements" and "declarations. Are you familiar with hearsay, gossip, rumor? Objection, not admissible. You can have all of your friends write things and post them. I could write bad things about you and have Mike put it on a website but that wouldn't make it true. How about the buildings? Do you have anything, in writing, official, from the County of San Bernardino that shows that DCHS Inc. owns the buildings in question. That letter from the Hoffman's attorney (Mike Castro the squatter) is missing something. Where are the first four numbered paragraphs? It's obvious that the letter has been altered. Doesn't the rest of it suit you needs? Are you aware that a Grant Deed passes posession and a Quitclaim Deed just gives up any supposed interest without warranty? After all of this time where is you proof in writing? Why haven't you posted it for all to see? It would be silly to walk into a court with just a quitclaim deed, don't you think? Now here's a good one. If you and William were to prevail and take posession of the buildings AND the forty acres, would you charge people a "toll" for access? Would you feel bad if then the Government somehow managed to open the mill road and let people bypass your road? Remember the "Mike killed a fictitious person" post? Included is statement about collecting fees and paying wages. Do you think that it might be possible that there was chaos when everyone took over and that Mike, being an intellegent, non drug using, dedicated, professional businessman managed to rise to the top and get rid of the rif raf? Do you harbor a grudge because he proved to be a leader? Do you really feel that a judge would look at a qiutclaim deed and all of the information on this website and then, knowing your intentions, give you anything but a hard time? "Yes your Honor, I did it all to screw Mike Castro!" Sure, just take it all for nothing Gail. Mike, on the other hand, has worked hard and paid a good price for what he has now. Maybe you could respect him for that. I do. It would seem that there is a growing number of people that would agree with me. I hope that that trend continues. I think that deep down there is a good bit of caring for Deep Creek on your part and I think the parts of this website prove that. I think others have mentioned that you loose credibility when you include all of the detritus that really has no place on a site supposedly dedicated to the preservation of a spiritual place. You could take a lesson from the Wizard. No, I don't know him but, he has shown a deep concern and love for the springs. I enjoy reading his posts and viewing his pictures. If everyone shared his spirituality and levelheaded ideals about the springs I think that there might be a place called OZ that didn't have the issues that the springs have now. Certainly Gail, you have laid enough fodder for me to continue rebuttals and questions for quite some time but I think that I have presented a good case for thought and I will leave it there for now. I do appreciate the opportunity to present my questions and views.
