Hi all--
We made it out to DCHS springs yesterday. Gorgeous weather, with only occasional rain that never lasted for long (and just being in the spring when it rains pretty much negates any unpleasant aspect of the rain). The tubs were warm and nice, the creek is cold, but not yet frigid. It's between knee-level and waist level at the crossing from the beach.
Bowen Ranch Road is in decent condition, though the road from Bowen Ranch gate to their parking area is a little bit more of a nail-biter than usual. My two-wheel drive sedan got through OK, though.
Also noticed about a mile or so upriver on the PCT that someone has build a rather impressive encampment out of driftwood in the creek. There's a square dock-like structure made of logs built out into the creek, plus some sort of driftwood shelter built on the beach. Looked like some nifty handiwork.
