I strongly suggest that any meeting include the appropriate governmental agencies. Early coordination and partnerships with the BLM amd Forest Service are absolutely essential since they are the controlling factor regarding public access. With that in mind, weekend meeting would not work because of the difficulty in getting reps from those agencies to come to a weekend meeting. I know it's a pain for most of us normal working stiffs to take time off during the week, but that's the only way this thing is going to work. Many of you may want to meet first without the governmental reps present so a "public" consensus can be reached. But then there is a lot of "reinventing the wheel" in subsequent meetings. So I hope you consider a joint meeting with everyone. I am ambivalent about having Mike and Gail there - On the one hand, if they were, we could all make some real progress on exposing all the issues. On the other hand, without them there, we will have a better understanding of how the BLM and Forestry Service view Mike and Gail.
