DCR, As you suggested a park would be a good option in terms of providing a comfortable outdoor place with lots of room and shade since the days are getting hotter. I would be fine on doing a meeting down at the springs but I'm not sure at this point how long it will take my knee to heal from its injury. If we did use a park for the first meeting then people that wished to could hit the springs afterwards too. I'll give it some thought as to a park here in the area that would work well for us. I would think that we would begin to keep notes of our activity and proposals at the meetings. We could then contact the BLM or Forestry Dept about any proposals or projects that would need thier specific approval. We could also contact them at some point to see if they might have suggestions to offer as to positive things that we could do to help. First we need to see if a date can be set and if people are open to meeting at a nearby park. We could do a separate post this week asking how many people at this time would want to attend this first meeting. I'm going to call the Forestry dept this week to ask what thier thoughts are on this trash bin idea and I will let them know that we are working towards putting together a group of concerned springs visitors.
