Good to see all this positive thinking about how to become more organized to help the springs. I would be glad to attend the meeting. We need to give folks time to plan ahead and get some confirmation here on who will be going. I think there is enough of us presently to make a start and through time I would think the group would grow. In deciding whether to have a name for this group and what it would be, I think that this would be a good topic for the first meeting. I see that Katrina is ok with not being in attendance. I would hope that Mike Castro, Kevin and Tanya would see that at first, it may not be benificial for them to be in attendance either. I'm sure Ron was not trying to show disrespect for them but realizes there are very strong feelings between those three and Katrina and if this group does begin to meet periodically then we can discuss at what point it would become benificial to include these 4 people. I see them all to be concerned as we are with the well being of DCHS. I talked with my wife and we both feel that Memorial weekend is probably not a good option since many folks may have plans for a long weekend like that. I did go down to the springs and arrived late in the afternoon yesterday. I didn't see Naked Man by the time I arrived. On the trail down I was kicking rocks off the trail as I always do and about halfway down to the springs I suddenly felt something funny in my knee. Within a minute or so I was experiencing quite a bit of pain. I continued down to the springs but the pain in my knee contiuned. I thought that the warm water might help. On the hike out it was difficult and the problem continued. This morning I still have the problem. I have a warm pack on my knee presently and will shortly take some of my wifes " good drugs " she actually got when she, not to long ago, had surgery on her knee. This problem really hit me suddenly and I've never had a problem with me knee. I may have to go and see and orthopedic doctor if it doen't get better by tomorrow. I'm really hoping this problem doesn't start causing me problems in regards to hiking to the springs, not to mention my work which requires me to move around alot. I've been a hiker for lots of years and hopefully this will remain the case long into the future. So in telling you this I may, depending on how things go, need to meet along the road. Hopefully this thing is temporary. Just though I'd mention that I caught another Rosy Boa yesterday. It was about 15 inches and they are so docile and smooth. Also I caught another very interesting creature. It looked like a worm but moved very quickly like a snake. It was about 7 inches long an was about one eighth inch in diameter, very small. The head and tail end looked essentially the same and its color was pink with scales that were barely visible. You could only tell which end was the head by noticing two black specks at one end which I assume were the eyes. When I picked it up it produced a clear, very smelly fluid which I assume was done in defense. Does anyone know the name of what I've described here. Back to the meeting, I could attend starting with the weekend 18th-19th and the two weekends afterwards. The next two weekends after that I'll be gone on a 9 day trip. Maybe one of those weekends will be a good option or is that too soon also?
