Public Open House Scheduled for the Santa Ana Hazardous Fuels Reduction Project

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif., September 26, 2010 – A public open house for the proposed Santa Ana Hazardous Fuels Reduction Project has been scheduled for September 30, from 5-7pm, at the Hootman Senior Center, 2929 Running Springs School Road in Running Springs. The Front Country Ranger District will host this public open house as part of the environmental analysis for the proposed Santa Ana Hazardous Fuels Reduction Project focused on community protection, healthy forest, and fuels reductions. Forest Service staff will be available to discuss the project and the process and to answer questions. All interested persons, state and local governments, and tribal governments are encouraged to participate at this time and throughout the public scoping period. This project analysis will be conducted under the Healthy Forests Restoration Act (HFRA) authority and per the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
