...HOT WEATHER ACROSS SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA THIS WEEKEND AND
EARLY NEXT WEEK...

HIGH PRESSURE BUILDING OVER THE WEST WILL BRING SEVERAL DAYS OF HOT
WEATHER WITH TEMPERATURES 10 TO 20 DEGREES ABOVE AVERAGE. EVEN THE
COASTAL AREAS WILL SIGNIFICANT WARMING THIS WEEKEND DUE TO A VERY
SHALLOW MARINE LAYER. THE HOTTEST DAYS WILL BE SUNDAY AND MONDAY.

EXPECTED HIGH TEMPERATURES SATURDAY THROUGH MONDAY...

COASTAL AREAS................75 TO 90.
INLAND ORANGE COUNTY.........92 TO 102.
COASTAL VALLEYS..............90 TO 100.
INLAND VALLEYS...............102 TO 110.
MOUNTAINS BELOW 6000 FEET....88 TO 98.
MOUNTAINS ABOVE 6000 FEET....80 TO 90.
UPPER DESERTS................98 TO 108.
LOWER DESERTS................102 TO 112.

ALTHOUGH TEMPERATURES WILL BE HIGH...HUMIDITIES WILL REMAIN LOW.
THEREFORE THE HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL LIKELY REMAIN BELOW HEAT
WARNING CRITERIA FOR OUR AREA.

VISITORS...TOURISTS...HIKERS...AND ANYONE WORKING OUTDOORS THIS
WEEKEND THROUGH NEXT TUESDAY SHOULD TAKE THE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS
TO PREVENT HEAT RELATED STRESS AND ILLNESS. AVOID STRENUOUS OUTDOOR
ACTIVITY IF POSSIBLE. IF YOU HAVE TO BE OUTSIDE...DRINK PLENTY OF
WATER. WEAR LIGHTWEIGHT LOOSE-FITTING CLOTHING AND WEAR A HAT TO
SHIELD YOURSELF FROM THE SUN.

THE HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE WILL WEAKEN SLIGHTLY WEDNESDAY THROUGH
FRIDAY FOR SLIGHT COOLING...BUT TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN ABOVE
AVERAGE.
