Paul P., Yes, she completely misunderstood, didn't she? Apparently, she did not bother to actually read the posts, there or here, and got the totally wrong notion that I am campaigning for sex in the pools (!) As you know, I am talking about the exact reverse: encouraging sexually driven men (or just discourteous men) into giving couples, females, and children just an iota of (non-sexual) alone time in the pools, when such alone time can reasonably be given.

Anyway, this is the reply I just posted to her, in that forum:

"Meander, If I was talking about "getting intimate" (as in sexual activity of any kind), I would completely agree with you. Sex in public is wrong! It bespoils the natural peace, beauty, and serenity of a place like Deep Creek hot springs. And dirties the pools.

Paul P., if you review the recent posts on Deep Creek etiquette in the other forum (as you evidently have), you will see that virtually all the men who weighed in, and who realize we are only talking about a reasonable amount of alone time (not sex), wholly agree with the basic point I have made. In fact, they express a basic courtesy which they would give to couples that is even far beyond the modicum of courtesy I have campagined for here. It is only a few of the responders here who are against extending any such courtesy at all... which is utterly bizarre to me, and is clearly a minority view for hotsprings users everywhere.

And of course, I don't bear you any ill will either. In fact, I get a good feeling from you from most of your posts. We definitely agree to disagree, though it sometimes seems that you are disagreeing with something I say out of some sort of knee-jerk reaction that I am the one happening to say it it rather than someone else, since I think what I am saying is the most obvious and common-sensical thing imaginable. I mean, we have even had people in this thread arguing against the Golden Rule (!), or the notion of being "reasonable." C'mon now...that's absurd!
