Re: Special weather statement

Yeah it was very hot here in Apple Valley yesterday ( Tuesday ) and Victorville reached 105, just one degree shy of a record temp for the day. I did hike yesterday also from near our home to the top of Feldspar Mtn which is in Granite Mountains on the eastern edge of Apple Valley. Its about a 2000 foot elevation gain in steep rocky terrain and I began around 3PM. It got very hot back in the steeper canyons but on top there was a very nice breeze blowing in from the east and the view up there was magnificent! Today lots of humidty moved in which created a good deal of thundershowers and lightning by early afternoon. Still quite humid tonight so maybe we will see a repeat of the storms tomorrow :-)
