...HOT WEATHER FOR SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA THROUGH WEDNESDAY...

HIGH PRESSURE WILL STRENGTHEN AND EXPAND OVER THE SOUTHWEST STATES
THROUGH WEDNESDAY...THEN BEGIN TO WEAKEN THURSDAY. THIS WILL BRING
WARMING THROUGH WEDNESDAY WITH SLIGHT COOLING THURSDAY.

EXPECTED HIGH TEMPERATURES THROUGH WEDNESDAY...

INLAND ORANGE COUNTY..............95 TO 105.
INLAND COASTAL SAN DIEGO COUNTY...85 TO 97.
SAN DIEGO INLAND VALLEYS..........92 TO 110.
INLAND EMPIRE.....................103 TO 114.
MOUNTAINS BELOW 6000 FEET.........90 TO 112.
MOUNTAINS ABOVE 6000 FEET.........80 TO 90.
UPPER DESERTS....................100 TO 113.
LOWER DESERTS....................108 TO 121.

THE WARMEST DAY FOR THE LOWER DESERTS IS EXPECTED TO BE TODAY...AND
FOR COASTAL AREAS WEDNESDAY. MINOR COOLING IS EXPECTED FOR SOME
AREAS ON THURSDAY AS HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WEAKENS SLIGHTLY. GREATER
COOLING IS EXPECTED FOR FRIDAY THROUGH THE WEEKEND AS A TROUGH OF
LOW PRESSURE DEVELOPS ALONG THE WEST COAST INCREASING ONSHORE
FLOW. HIGH TEMPERATURES THAT WERE 10 TO 15 DEGREES ABOVE AVERAGE
AT MID WEEK...ARE EXPECTED TO FALL TO A LITTLE BELOW AVERAGE FOR
THE WEEKEND.

AVOID STRENUOUS OUTDOOR ACTIVITY IF POSSIBLE. IF YOU HAVE TO BE
OUTSIDE...DRINK PLENTY OF WATER. AVOID ALCOHOLIC AND CAFFEINATED
FLUIDS. WEAR LIGHTWEIGHT LOOSE FITTING CLOTHING. WEAR A HAT TO
SHIELD YOURSELF FROM THE SUN...AND USE SUN SCREEN TO REDUCE POSSIBLE
SUNBURN. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF AIR CONDITIONING AND SHADE IF POSSIBLE.
NEVER LEAVE CHILDREN OR PETS IN ENCLOSED VEHICLES...EVEN BRIEFLY.
THIS WEATHER COULD BE DEADLY FOR UNPREPARED CAMPERS OR HIKERS.
