Chill, people. Pardon my saying so, but there is far too much aggression and hostility in a few of the posts on this topic. As my other posts in this forum reflect, I do not want there to be any overt sex in and around the pools. (Although let's be honest about it and ask ourselves, would we really be so ready to beat the @#$%! shit out of a gorgeous young hetero couple, or two pretty women, softly and romantically making love in our nearby view?) But, for me, my preference to keep overt sex out of the pools (I have never personally seen it anyway, so I am not even sure how much of a problem it actually is or is not), is because I personally prefer the quiet and very subtle spiritual energy which pervades Deep Creek and places like it. For that reason -- and again I am only speaking for myself personally -- aggression, hostility toward others, and the heavy hand of law enforcement all destroy spiritual quietude every bit as much as open sex does. For me, sex is wonderful, including sex in nature, but there are plenty of secluded places away from the springs to enjoy being with one's lover. I suppose most people would remove themselves to such nether spots if politely asked. But for those people impervious to suggestion and who are not private enough in their activities at DCHS, the rest of us, conversely, probably ought not be too quick to invite uniforms and badges into the pools with us just to make sure no one touches his or her lover in an erotic way.

Please remember that for each one of us who does not want to see people screwing right in front of us in the pools in broad daylight (again, I have never seen that myself), there are 10 people who are against nudity altogether. I happen to love the freedom to go into the pools without my clothes. The nudity will be stopped if the local gendarms get the (exaggerated) idea that too much public sex is going on at the springs. "Too much sex in the area" was EXACTLY the excuse used to stop all NUDITY at San Onofre Beach recently. And personally, while I do not want the task of having to tune out some couple having a private romantic time in their own pool above me while I am trying to meditate, I would find it even harder to still all fears and anxiety from my thoughts if I was naked in a pool yet had to worry that the cops might swarm down upon the place at any moment.

So, while again I personally desire DCHS to be free of ANY non-spiritual activities in and around the springs (a preference I realize can only be hoped for as a matter of degree, not completeness), I suggest we all live and let live, except for activities more dangerous or damaging than episodic sexual activity between consenting adults. In other words, let's self-police the place, rather than invite in the gestapo regarding any such activities, since any crack-down would invariably encompass nudity itself, if we began demanding that citations be issued and arrests be made.
