Today was beautiful out in the desert. I usually pick my monents when to go to the hotsprings, always on a weekday and earlier the better. When it gets hot, I like to go upstream an find a beach and swimming hole. Take your pick! Mostly, you will find me at my cabin in the Village with all the other "perverts and weirdos.....lol). There are some interesting things going on in this off the grid commuity. Solar power and satalite internet have revolutionized the planet. I just funished sinking a 2nd well. With an abundunce of pure mountain spring water, the possibilities are unlimited and it runs on pure sunlight. The neighborhood is pretty darn mellow these days. Hikerdude should join us for one of our regular hiking outings held by the local Friends of Juniper Flats group. I dont believe these stories about Mike Castro being the boogie man, stalking people wearing surgical gloves. I do believe if someone goes to Bowen Ranch and gives him a ration of BS, he will tell them to find another way to get to the hotsprings. For those who wish to camp and respect the minimal rules on his property, everything will work out fine. I run into alot of lost hotspringers at my place and I always try to help them find the way. I have no reservations about sending them to the Bowen Ranch if that is where they tell me they are trying to go. Anyway, I say go and enjoy Deep Creek Hot Springs, dont worry, be happy!
