Thanks for the historical perspective, guys. I think I must have been blessed, and lucky, in my 20 some-odd visits before, ending about 7-8 years ago. But when I think about it, there was some discarded blankets and other trash on a couple of my visits, and I imagine I did have to deal with a boom box (under the shade trees) once or twice. I otherwise had such great times there though (aside from the few instances I mention here and in my prior posts) that my memory may well be filtering out the crap and remembering only the great happiness I always felt, one way or the other, after a trip to DCHS. Mostly, I went in the off season. The first time I was ever there, though, was in the summer, and there were about 30-40 people there, but everyone was mellow that particular day! I even met a very hot female, and we hit if off nicely. Then, later that evening, I partied with a group of people I met...guess where? At Mike's place! Yep, about 12 of us drank beer and had good company together. Mike was not totally present, if I remember, but I do remember having nothing but good vibes from him. This is no disrespect for all those who have troubles with him (according to this forum), I am just saying I can only judge a person by my personal encounters with him, and mine with Mike have always been fine. But as far as DCHS in general goes, everyone responding to this is surely correct: There have always been riff-raff (as scary as Charles Manson!), it is just a matter of hit and miss on who will be at the springs at any given time. My new female friend and I might go there next Tues and Wed, so we will just hope for the best. But if there are assholes there, oh well, we'll deal with it I guess....Besides I am middle age now, as is my new female friend, so the pervs probably won't be driven to do too much oogling. My female friend (my buddy's girlfriend) who had her vagina touched by some strange guy in the tub, was about 25, and gorgeous. She was also very drunk and was being amorous (non-sexually) with her boyfriend, but that was still no excuse for some strange idiot to reach over and touch her privates under the water. We all firmly told him off, by the way, and he backed off and left the tub. My friend was a strong, muscular dude who could have kicked the perv's ass, but we did not need to. But on a good note, we all still had a great time in two days we were there on that trip. And all my trips there were great, overall.
