Excellent reporting Celtfire. Perhaps those teens or the hurt guy was what that police cruiser and helicopter action were about. Because I do not think I saw a single teenager the whole time I was there.But, I was distracted with those through hikers. Thanks for helping with the 1st aid and trash.
It sounds like you and Sonja went to what the locals call the Indian camp. There is a warm spring up near there if you know where to look. Back @ the turn of the century the U.S. Army drove the Native Americans out of that area. And back in '96 and '97 the forest service removed a lot of artifacts from that area. You can see them at the Natural history museum in Barstow.
