I concur with all of the above. What I saw last Friday was that the creek was much safer than it had been and was down quite a ways. The report I left a couple of week ago was that the creek had been up a couple feet. It really is closer to normal for this time of year now. I will be coming in from the Bowen side this week.

For those inclined to hike: There are at least 2 other ways to come in if you want to hike on the PCT:
One is from the Spillway where 173 intersects Arrowhead Rd behind Hesperia. That is a 6.7 mile one way trek up the PCT but is a nice hike.... if you know the trail. It's pretty wet in some places now so this is better in a dry season.
Hiking in from the Steel Bridge east of Arrowhead. That is off the end of Hook road. Need to go to the pavillion the Forestry Service calls Splinter Cabin (Jobe says may not be the original name or location) but it is on the map as such and hike down the PCT 8+ miles to the springs. (need an Adventure Parking Pass for this area when the gate is open at the end of Hook Road.)

This gives you two other day long excursions if you aren't planning to stay at the springs for a long while and really want a long hike!
