Joel, the stream crossing is really no problem now since there has not been any significant rains in quite a while and the snow melt off is slowing down. If you cross from the beach area ( across from the creek from the hotpools ), and do it maybe 30 feet or so feet downstream from going straight across, while looking for the shallowest areas, its only a little above your waist. The weather is warming up and the creek is too so your best bet is just go throught the Bowen Ranch like you usually do and wading the creek. I did the same on my most current visit to DCHS, this last Friday.
