I was there yesterday to provide comments in person. While the BOS voted to end the permit process for OHV staging on private lands, the rest of the ordinance remains. It also restricts OHV staging to parcels greater than 2.5 acres.
What is important is when we witness OHV trespass into the Deep Creek Non Motorized Vehicle area,please report it. Try to provide an accurate description of the rider's clothing and bike, as well as the time, location, dat ect ect...... The Fed hotline is 909-383-5651 for non emergency. Remember, if it aint reported, it never happened! Please do you part to help preserve the wild and scenic nature of Deep Creek Canyon by reporting these scoflaw riders. There are plenty of legal places for OHV users to enjoy. OHV use is illegal in Deep Creek Canyon.
