My Girl and I had a blast. we arrived around 10pm via freedon trail. we camped on the north side of the river. When we got there the river it looked very cold and deep so we decided to wait until morning to enjoy the springs. through out our night we heard a cat...(bob cat or moutain lion)? find its dinner. After the bone chilling sounds we could not sleep very well. so I roamed around the beach to find a F*** ton of trash and clothes a$$ holes left behind. The inner tube and rope are still there, the pools are very clean, and the river is about to my neck if i walk straigh across. (I am 5'9"
The water is colder than heck. overall it was a fun little trip. I would of gladly taken alot of trash out but loaded down with a 50lbs back pack, tent, and cooler.....well for those who know the freedom trail know that its not easy.
one last thing bowen ranch road is being fixed. There was a tractor filling all the dips and pot holes. it was a nice smooth ride out ( :
