That sand has been moving for millions of years. May it keep doing that another million years. It just does not seem to move while we sit in front of our air conditioned TVs.
If the rope is stolen as Rick suggest you can always revert to paddle power. Or just go by way of the Bradford ridge, no creek crossing necessary there.
