Hipockets, If you live in the Victor Valley, then you would take HWY 173 up into the mountains starting near the Mojave Forks Dam by Hesperia. HWY 173 will be dirt for about 4 and a half miles then when it turns to pavement again you will quickly ( within a couple hundered yards ) pass over the new concrete bridge which is Kinely Creek. A little further up the road, maybe a mile or so there is a left turn which if I remember correctly is 3N34 and this will take you over to the Squints Ranch area. Just a ways east of Squints Ranch a dirt rd goes down the hill to Deep Creek which is Devils Hole. I would recommend that you pick up a map which shows the interconnecting dirt rds in that area since there are a number of dirt intersections you will encounter. I have not been up there in many years so I don't know how good the last portion of the road is down to the creek. If its bad its not that far down the hill and you can park at the top and walk. Just last year I was hiking in areas a few miles downstream from there and saw numerous good sized trout in the larger, deeper pools. Good luck :-)
