shortly after I started going to deep creek late one afternoon I was faced with the cold water crossing, at that time there was a rope across the creek that we could use to cross on an inter tube as the water was about neck deep and some place near 40 deg.f., well I took that last soak and went to face the big chill, a family had just crossed before me and were drying off I had commented on the very cold water and their 7 year old spoke up and said to me," you should bring back a bottle of hot water to wash the cold sting off" and I pass along those words to others. paul
