The road was in acceptable condition. My Hyundai Elantra had no trouble with it but then I abuse it. There are ruts but the muddy area is not slick. There are still 2 places with water flowing across and one has cut a channel so its wise to slow down. I'm more concerned about how the water crossing above the village may undermine the asphalt and make that area a problem later. It is suppose to rain this weekend. I have a report from a couple who did the Bradford Trail that the snow was gone from the Arrowhead area and so that is not a problem. 173 coming up from Hesperia is reported to have some erosion channels across the road and some rock falls so it is better to take a high clearance vehicle up to the Bradford Trail head. For those who park at Bowen, the steep part of the trail coming off of the parking lot has some serious erosion caused by motorcycles. If it keeps up that trail will become more difficult.
