IS the river higher then it was after we had the first big week long storm just before jan 23? I crossed it then no problem looked around and found a nice shallow sand bar and the water was only waste high. Freezing cold but i got to keep my sweater on as i crossed and hoped in the hotsprings right away to warm back up. And u can always camp on the bowne ranch side so u can leave your gear on that side and just cross to soak in the springs. Just dont forget to atleast bring a snack over to the other side so u dont have to cross the freezing river more then ud want to like i did.
