I think a meeting of the minds as suggested by Bill and seconded by Wizard is a good idea. I would also recommend that a professional facilitator be brought in to keep everyone on the subject and reduce the chances of tangential discussions. The BLM or Forest Service reps probably know one.

I'm not convinced that authorities would try to restrict nudity at Deep Creek if more Forest Service/BLM patrols were established. Both San Onofre and Blacks Beach have a long history of nude use. Neither the lifeguards nor the sheriff patrols tell people to put their clothes back on.
