You will see what I mean by Oregon day later.
I went to D.C.H.S. by way of the power line road from Deep Creek rd. in Hesperia again. More boulders have fallen on this route because of the 3 days of rain. One was so big I had to put a chain on it and move it out of the road to get by. The Ice and snow had melted so that was not a problem this time.
As I got to @ 1/2 mile from the freedom trail parking lot I saw a 38 foot hippie bus. So I drove over and asked @ this beautiful site. Because I have 2 school buses also. They were a group of 4 males and 2 females who wanted to know how much further to the hot springs. So I told them I would be their tour guide for the day. It was 12:30 pm. They were from Oregon just out side of Portland. And they were on their way to Costa Rico. They left 1 month ago and had followed the coast down from Portland.
Their bus had a lot of hippie art on it. I gave them a ride in my truck to the parking lot and they said they had pulled up to Bowen Ranch at 2:00am and Mike was an a__hole but they met Burt and he told them how to go around the ranch to get to the Freedom trail.
When we got to the springs 2 guys were there but were leaving. We enjoyed the springs very much and then a couple came down who had Oregon on their sweat shirt. They were from Portland too.So they enjoyed talking about that. These hippies were nice except they continuously kept lighting up their pipe. After @ 1 hour some more hippies came down from the spill way trail and they were very cool. And they had a very friendly aura @ them. So I started a conversation with them and they said that they were from Ashland Oregon. So I took them over to meet their fellow Oregonians.
As they were enjoying this I went to the Arizona pool. The Creek water was @ 2 inches above the level of the water in the Arizona pool. But the creek had risen @ 10 to 12 feet above this earlier. This was evident by the sand on the beach which had washed away. All of the sand just upstream had washed away so I got my shovel and shoveled the sand out of the pool and covered up the bare roots there and made the beach back to where it was. Also some of the boulders had moved around so I put them where they would block the incoming water there. As I left the creek water was even with the water in the pool. Making for a good soak there again. Many branches were stuck in the low branches of the trees near the river. They will make some one good fire wood some day.
The sunshine on the beach was excellent !

Glad 2 help !
