Actually the footprints I saw were from cattle. I saw them next to the power line road as I drove in to do my hike. The guy who ranges the cattle bought the old Paradise Ranch property on the Bowen Ranch Rd. Its the place with the white pole fence on the right as you go in, with the newly installed windmill. He is supposed to graze these cattle in a specific area but they wander at will with no completely intact containment barrier to keep them in the allotted grazing area. From where I saw them there is nothing to stop them from heading to Deep Creek, which they eventually will do like they have in years past.
