I'm planning to go out there tomorrow...if the bags are still there, I'll haul them out, no worries! You've already done the work of bagging it, the least I can do is hike it out. Besides, I've "meant to" get that old chair several times, and talked myself out of it each time. Still puzzles me why someone would drag something like that down there, then not take it back when they left. But, they do it with every other kind of trash, so why not?

There are some pretty bad slides on the PCT in the first mile or so up from the Springs. That's probably what they're working on. Maybe I'll check out their site. If it's still trashy, I'll try to clean it up. It wouldn't bother me at all to clean it up right in front of them...maybe that would get the message across. I've done that before, with other groups...they usually wind up joining in the clean-up, out of guilt, I suppose.
