Interesting article. It makes a lot of sense, although I can't speak from experience. Wolves have been gone from Arkansas so long, the coyotes are well established. I see coyotes on a regular basis, but in 40 years of time spent outdoors in Arkansas, I've never seen a wild wolf, and only two bears. History's full of human-induced wildlife changes that didn't work out quite as man had planned. I think a lot of folks are beginning to realize this...I just hope it's not too late for too many species. It already is for some.
