Access/Driving to Deep Creek

I am wondering if anyone can tell me how the drive is to the Bradford Trail to DC is in terms the quality of the road. I have a sports car low to the ground i can't get thru the Bowen Ranch side and don't want to put that kind of dirt road wear on my car. Is the drive to the parking area to hike down the Bradford trail a lot better or same kind of tricky dirt road as Bowen? I used to rent a car to go to Bowen but hoping there is another way to get there without having to do that..
