Hi,
I haven't been to the hot springs since last year. I have been going 2-3 times a year for the past 5 years. When I first started going there, it was clean and beautiful. The people I met there reflected that. They were all very respectful of the enviroment they were in and each other. They were also mostly out of towners. After that I noticed a decline in the cleanliness of this beautiful place. The people visiting were locals who threw beer bottles into the same creek that their kids were swimming in. ( Believe me! I said something about that.) My point is that over the years I have seen that the majority of pollution and dysfuction is coming from the residence of Hesperia itself! Please don't take offense to that if you live in Hesperia. But, the last few times I went, these dirty tweekers are down there. If enough people say the right thing to them or give them the "you don't belong here" vibe, maybe they won't feel comfortable going down to the hotsprings anymore. Anyway, my friend and I are going down there this weekend. This is her virgin trip to the hotsprings. Hopefully it is a positive one. We will bring an extra bag to pick up other peoples trash. It grosses me out that we are a few miles from anywhere and there are cig butts on the ground like we are in the city!
Well that's all from me for now. I just had to put my two cents in. Hope to see some of you caring folks down there Saturday.
