Wizard -- Never underestimate the power of the written word. Over time, much more of history has been changed as a result of the written word than by direct action. The whole protestant reformation was started by the nailing of the 95 Theses on the church door in Wittenberg by Martin Luther.

Also -- equally as important as what you say is how you say it. And that is the problem with the website (or, in the case of the website, how you present it). Katrina herself has complained that when she attends BLM and FS meetings, she is criticized and dismissed because they say "she has an agenda, she has a vendetta". Where do they get that impression? Perhaps from many sources, but the website certainly doesn't help that impression any.

Do I suggest that we not talk about any of this? Of course not. But when it at times seems that it is all we can talk about....

Put yourself in the shoes of the new BLM district manager Linda Hansen (or whomever may replace her on a permanent basis). You step into this new job and before long you hear about Deep Creek being a hot topic, so you decide to do a little research on your own. You put "Deep Creek Hot Springs" into a Google search. The DCHS website and this forum are among the first five results returned. You start reading with a purely open mind, not biased in either direction. What conclusion do you draw?

Or perhaps you are this Emmet Berg person who posted here on 4/18 saying that he wants to write a newspaper article on DCHS. He said he was familiar with all the "controversy" over DCHS from reading the website and the forum. So he is familiar with all the negative stuff. He then solicited positive comments from anyone on the forum. Only one person bothered to respond. What kind of an impression does that leave? What do you think that article is going to say?

This is what I'm trying to say.
