I last saw Thomas (the alleged victim) in 1990 and I only know what happened through 2nd, 3rd.....and of course this forum. It was odd to me that Dave and Thomas even knew each other, just goes to show how small the world truely is. Dave was a long time friend to my first husband, kind of a free spirited nut. I remember his parents had left him their house in Palos Verdes (old money area) when they moved to the desert. His house became party central to every misfit rich kid or lazy bum there was. He rented out each corner, chair, even the diving board...if you were staying, you were paying. Early 80s and pretty crazy. Thomas, well I can't even begin to explain his character....Avid reader of every self help book out there "Dianetics" (by L. Ron Hubbard) among his favorites. Open for any quick rich schemes out there (Amway, water treatment....) however the basic concept of good hard work just alluded him. Probibly the one thing Dave and him had in common. I feel really bad that this all happened and like I said before I just don't understand all the circumstances or how this all went from two guys being friends to...well this mess. I have to say though after spending three looonnnngggg years with the victim (as much as I love him) it was probibly bound to happen and I guess there is now real doubt that it would be someone close to him. (You should meet his mother)
