After I saw your post Rick, I went outside with my 10x50 binoculars but didn't see anything that looked like a comet. The air is clear out here in the desert tonight with no clouds to block the view. I saw the familiar Orion to the south east, the Big Dipper to the northeast, and the North Star :-)
