For people coming from the Highway 173 approach to the Bradford ridge trail. There is a 2 mile section of highway 173 that does not get snow plowed. A sign states this and warns :" to proceed at your own risk."
To get around this you can take the Grass Valley option. Back up 2 blocks to Bay street go @ 2 miles to Peninsula street turn right and go about 1 mile to Grass Valley street and turn right then go @ 1 1/2 mile back to the Highway 173. You are at a lower elevation there and there is less snow to deal with.
