I've always enjoyed conversations with Chuck over the years at DCHS. I remember one sunny spring day back in 1992 when Chuck and I hiked upstream ( about a 10 minute walk ) from DCHS, just up the creek from where the lower trail to the Indian Camp crosses the stream, to a spot were the creek flows quickly through a long chute in the surrounding granite. When the water is flowing fast enough ( like in spring runoff ) you can get in at the top of this chute and you are washed quickly down through it to the lower end like a mini water park ride :-) Gotta watch your buns in a few places though :-) We chatted while sitting on the warm granite by the chute. I remember Chuck telling me about some of his escapades with the gals. He is a fun person to converse with, and has an interesting manner. I don't think he has ever been married as I remember.
