Deep Creek's headwaters are up near Green Valley Lake, which is fairly close to the small community of Arrow Bear. From there it flows downstream over 20 miles to the Mojave forks dam where its waters combine with those of the the river ( west fork of the mojave ) that flows in ( from the opposite direction ) from summit valley ( including Silverwood lake ). The two rivers ( creeks ) combine and flow through the big tube in the dam and then are named the Mojave River. The " Deep Creek " designation ends at the Mojave Forks dam.
