More accurately I should have said that the road up to the time of the Willow Fire was still being used ( even though previously closed ) by four wheel vehicles at times to access Deep Creek to the Indian Camp area, then after the fire the USFS used dozer equipment to basically tear up the road to stop further vehicle traffic. They were successful regarding this regarding normal four wheel vehicles. Just this year I found the tracks of a smaller ( kawasaki Mule type ) off road vehicle on various instances that had gone down this old route to the creek. I haven't seen any recent evidence of this however. I heard from a USFS ranger that at one time decades ago there was a proposal to pave that old route to the creek. Thank goodness that never happened!
