What a coincidence Steamboat! I was also at Deep Creek on Wednsday, and those very same riders rode by me as I was hiking down one of the illegal moto trails that parallels the old road down to the Indian Camp area ( warm springs area ). After they passed me I just happened to be in an area which is actually not that far from the creek, where you can get cell phone coverage. I was the one who had called them in to the USFS before you. I told the USFS that it looked to me like the riders had parked somewhere near the warm springs and could have walked to DCHS. Like you said Steamboat, I waited to hear a helicopter too but it appeared that they were not able to get anyone down there. These guys didn't look to friendly as they rode by me. I was really hoping the USFS would get down there and cite them. I see illegal motos down there almost every time I visit now. Those hills are full of illegal moto trails and most of those riders could care less that their riding is illegal, and destructive!
