Re: Trip report - 11/7/08

I was also at Deep Creek on Friday. It was a beautiful fall day with very blue skys. As 1bcalrr mentioned it was windy in the higher ground above the Deep Creek Canyon and was also a bit breezy in the canyon where I was. I measured the creek temp at 52 degrees, and the air temp mid day was 62 degrees. The leaves are starting to fall from the Sycamores. I enjoyed the scenic vistas on my hike out, with Autum's golden sunlight shinning across the native dry grass tufts.
