Re: Is it mating season?

I went out hiking into Granite Mountains about a week and a half ago and there was a Tarantula walking around by my truck. I distracted my pooches so they wouldn't mess with it. My kids spotted one on our back patio about a month ago. Just a few days after my kids spotted the Tarantula I was sitting on our couch in the family room and I had opened our back double doors to let some cool air into the house. I saw one of my dogs looking at something at the corner of one of the doors on the threshold, and I got up to see what it was, and it turned out to be a huge scorpion about four inches long, making its way into our home. Yikes! I corraled it into a plastic container and let it go in our front yard. Also this summer, a couple of differant times, we had a bat fly right into our family room through the open double doors. We just watched the bat do circles around the room for about 15 minutes until it finally found its way back through the doors to freedom :-)
