Jona, It is clear that there are people that have been negatively affected by Mike Castro's activities. In my opinion it is foolish for you to suggest that Katrina has created some complex fantasy in presenting information of past negative events related to Castro's actions. She has taken the time to collect a great deal of evidence in various forms to support her claims. It is also clear that many people have never been negatively affected by Mike Castro. I see that you find it easy to dismiss Katrina's actions as being nothing more than a vendetta. My opinion of Katrina is that she is a solid, reasonable person who has taken an enormous amount of her own time and energy to help bring light to these contentious issues that have affected some of the visitors to DCHS. I see her also as seeking any remedies in a lawful and careful manner. There are very strong opinions and feelings on both sides and these various disagreements will not be easily washed away with the warm waters of a pleasant soak at DCHS as you suggest. I have thought that it would be nice if all parties could work together, in a lawful manner with the appropriate authorities to find reasonable solution for the problems affecting these springs we love but I doubt that anything like this will happen anytime soon. Since as far as I know Mike Castro has no specific authority given to him by the controlling agencies in the area then I feel that Mike should do what he has a right to do as a private land owner and allow the appropriate agencies to handle situations or concerns about access to DCHS in the lands surrounding his property. I think it is important and helpful to have a place like this forum where the various people concerned about these DCHS problems can discuss thier veiws. It will always be the case that there will be disagreements on events and policies affecting the visitation of DCHS just as people disagree on many things in these lives we live.
