DCHS, Inc. owns the Bowen Ranch House and is planning to eventually take possession of the building. Mike Castro has threatened to burn or tear down the building. The insurance is to protect the building from this threat. DCHS, Inc. has carried insurance on the building since March 2000.
The insurance premium is approximately $1,500. per year due to the location and fire risk.
