I do have a copy of Mrs. Bowen's book and can probably duplicate it for the famous "Ursus Laughingus."
I do like you idea of a collaborative effort producing a new volume of Deep Creek Hot Springs stories collected over the last 50 years or so. Should it have a particular theme or just remembrances and tall tales? Hell, we get a lot of the latter posted here on the forum.
I can imagine the titles.....
"Alone at the Hot Springs facing Charlie Manson and his armed band of 50 nekkid hippie chicks. It was 1969 and I saw death in Charlie's crazed, vibrating eyeballs. Unafraid, I whipped out my, uh, weapon and........ (to be continued, maybe)."
Are any of Mrs. Bowen's grandkids still in the area? It would be nice to discover whether any of them still claim the ownership rights to "Bowen Escapades."
If it is in the public domain we could put it on a website for any and all to read.
