The flowers in the Anza Borrego desert are minimal this year as well, primarily due to the scant rainfall. The only thing blooming is the tips of the ocotillos, and they are not as bright or lengthy as usual. However, the Imperial Valley hot springs are ideal this time of year, but not for long. The heat will start being pervasive soon..
