...FLASH FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM PST THIS AFTERNOON
THROUGH LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT...
The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for
* A portion of southwest California...including the following...
Riverside County ...Mountains...San Bernardino County
Mountains...San Diego County Coastal Areas...San Diego County
Mountains...San Diego County Valleys and Santa Ana Mountains
and Foothills.
* From 4 PM PST this afternoon through late Wednesday night
* The first winter storm of the season will bring widespread
rain to Southern California. Locally heavy rainfall is possible.
* Scattered showers will begin this afternoon and evening with even
the potential of a few thunderstorms, particularly over San Diego
County. Moderate to even locally heavy rainfall will spread into
the region tonight through Wednesday night with the brunt occurring
Wednesday morning through evening. Locally heavy rainfall could
cause flash flooding. Flooding of poorly drained and urban areas
will also be possible, presenting a hazard for motorists.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
